High Road Brasserie, Chiswick

One of my go-to places for good food is High Road Brasserie. It’s part of Soho House, but you don’t need to be a member for the Brasserie, only for High Road House.

They offer great brunch choices, but dinner is my favourite. Their steak tartare is a great choice. It comes deconstructed, so you can flavour the meat with as much capers, and onion as you wish.

They do a set menu too from Tuesday to Saturday, two courses for £16, and three courses for £19.

A cocktail always goes down well with dinner, and these guys have a good selection and the mixologist knows what he’s doing.

Personally, I love sitting outside, under the heaters and watch the world go by on the high road. You can’t book outside though, it’s a first come first serve basis. Book a table for inside, and if you can swap it for outside, do!

Once point to note, their coffee can be inconsistent. The espressos are fine, but the flat whites are pretty hit and miss unfortunately. My advice: rather than an after dinner coffee, go for an after dinner limoncello or three!
